An Update from my Least Eventful Week

Since the start of 2018 I haven’t had anything exciting happen, so I will just give you a quick update!

There is a random picture of a boat going down the river near my apartment just to add a little visual appeal. Basically, I spent the whole week training at the gym. That job I mentioned in previous posts is still up in the air. I did finally receive an email back after about a week of silence. Chalk it up to the holidays, but I still am not holding my breath for this job. Though I apparently got it, they are “figuring out things on their end.” So we’ll see where that goes. It could be a month stint in Bangkok with accommodations paid which might be nice. However, after being stationary so long, I am itching to get back on the road.

My only question right now is finances. Either way I will make it work. A job would definitely help with that, but hopefully I can get back taxes files ASAP and maybe use up some of that refund money. Maybe I do some acting in China? Construction in Germany? It’s all a possibility!

Hopefully this video will make this blog post worth it. I figured people would be interested to see what Thai worship music is like. I have no idea what they are saying, unless then have the translation up on the projection. Sometimes they have the karaoke version up so I can sing along in Thai, but either way it sounds beautiful.

Speaking of music the most popular music in Thailand is this strange RnB genre. They will listen to it for any occasion; at the gym, at a party, alone by themselves. There have been so many occasions where a trainer will have his phone hooked up to the speakers and they will play a song I really like during training. It’s the worst when it gets stuck in my head, because then I have to try and find it. But I can’t google any of the lyrics…

I spent countless hours going through Thai top 40 playlists to find this song:

This was playing when going through a vigorous Muay Thai workout. I know what you’re thinking. Doesn’t seem to fit the mood? I have completely gotten used to it and now I think I prefer this type of music for working out. It keeps me lose and relaxed. I am still looking for my favorite song. Can’t seem to find it, but who knows what other songs I will discover looking!

Tonight I am going to look into getting a massage. I know a spot that has an hour massage for 150 baht ($4.66). Until next time!
